Food donations are vital to our ability to enable soup kitchens and pantries to serve our city’s most vulnerable. Whether your business is in the food industry or not, or whether you plan to make a difference solo or as a member of a team, there’s a New Yorker who needs you, and many ways for you to serve. See our food donation opportunities below.

Food Bank offers two online fundraising options: a peer-2-peer tool and a virtual food drive platform. Each option is user-friendly (as easy as setting up a social media profile) and equips you to rally your friends and followers to help you raise money in the fight to end hunger. And remember, all those donations are tax deductible. Simply set your fundraising goal and off you go!
For organizations**, individuals and schools collecting 400lbs of food or more, click the appropriate button below to register to have Food Bank drop off and pick up collection bins at your site. **A fee applies.
For individuals collecting fewer than 400lbs of goods, we encourage you to raise meals using one of our online tools (see the first tab), or host a DIY food drive using our Give Where You Live toolkit. If you have just a few items to donate, find a drop-off location near you by searching for member charities in your area.
Food Industry donors have helped power our mission since the founding of Food Bank over 35 years ago. We’re grateful to recognize the food companies that have donated enough food to equal one million or more meals as members of our Million Meals Club. We’d love to welcome new food companies as partners! Contact us below to arrange a donation from your food company.
To ensure our efforts to end hunger also facilitate healthy eating patterns, Food Bank has updated our nutrition policy outlining the kinds of foods we no longer accept, including sugar sweetened beverages (SSBs) and candy. Read our full nutrition policy to learn more.
