Actor Kevin Bacon will repack urgently needed food at the Food Bank For New York City's Bronx warehouse — along side Food Bank President & CEO, Dr. Lucy Cabrera, Ph.D. and 30 youngsters from local high school — to be distributed to soup kitchens and food pantries throughout the five boroughs and focus attention on the critical shortage of food that is needed to feed the 1.3 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put food on the table this holiday season, on Wednesday, December 5, 10 a.m., 355 Food Center Drive (at Hunts Point Market), The Bronx.

Bacon's visit to the Food Bank is being made possible through support from NetFlix Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX), the world's largest online movie rental service, in partnership with America's Second Harvest — The Nation's Food Bank Network, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization of which Food Bank For New York City is a member. Netflix will donate a portion of its profits generated through a special holiday gift subscription program to America's Second Harvest.
