DETAILS: General Manager Omar Minaya, who included his favorite dish in the cookbook — roast pork with garlic mashed potatoes — will present a check along with Stop & Shop, to Island Harvest and the Food Bank For New York City for the proceeds that the GourMets cookbook collected in 2007.

The GourMets cookbook included a collection of family recipes and clubhouse favorites of New York Mets players, coaches, and front-office staff, selling more than 5,000 copies and helping in the fight against hunger in New York.
