This year, our network gathered to share best practices and new approaches amidst widespread concerns of how the government shutdown has and will impact our emergency food network’s ability to serve. This year’s special guest speakers included Former Congressman Charles Rangel and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, as well as a special panel discussion about forward movement in the wake of the shutdown that featured Food Bank President and CEO Margarette Purvis, Jilly Stephens of City Harvest, Sheena Wright of United Way of New York City, and moderated by NY1’s Errol Louis.
