Pivotal players in the hunger-relief sector recently gathered at Food Bank For New York City’s Bronx-based warehouse to be recognized for their work in the fight against hunger. The companies honored at Food Bank’s Second Annual Food Donor Luncheon—including Stop & Shop, which was inducted into the Million Meals Club—contributed more than 850,000 meals in FY2017-18 and a combined total of more than 5 million meals overall.
In addition to Stop & Shop, Food Bank also recognized the following donors for their outstanding support: Goya, NBC 4, Telemundo 47, Nebraskaland, and Target. Bronx Councilmember Rafael Salamanca, District 17, stopped by to thank the donors for helping to provide meals to New Yorkers in need.
