Food Bank Combats Hunger in The Bronx on GivingTuesday

NEW YORK, NY (News12)  — Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Allan Nosoff visits the Hunts Point warehouse for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into how Food Bank For New York City is combating hunger in The Bronx on GivingTuesday.

At the warehouse, hard at work packing meals since 6 a.m., Allan speaks with President & CEO Leslie Gordon and Chief Operations & Procurement Executive Bob Silvia to learn how Food Bank is helping aid the 1.2 million New Yorkers facing food security this giving season.

“[GivingTuesday is] an opportunity for all New Yorkers to come together and help each other. Every dollar that you donate today turns into 20 meals being matched by a generous donor,” Gordon said.
