Learn helpful tips on how to make your food drive a success.
1 in 5 New Yorkers relies on soup kitchens and food pantries for their next meal, but many of these charities struggle to keep up with the need. You can help by organizing a food drive in your apartment building. When you Give Where You Live, you build up your local community, set an example of leadership for our children, and make a tangible impact in our fight to end hunger. Choose your start and end dates for your food drive. We recommend running a drive for at least 2 weeks. Set up a sturdy collection bin and food drive posters in a high traffic area.
