On Friday, October 27, Food Bank’s Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, and staffers joined forces at our Hunts Point Warehouse for an impactful day of packing. Together, we assembled over 30-pound Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) boxes filled with essential items like milk, fruits, veggies, pasta, canned salmon, and more, destined for 300 seniors in need.
Our Board members also toured our newly expanded cooler, enabling us to store more fresh produce to serve the community more efficiently. After, they expressed gratitude to our dedicated warehouse team, who tirelessly distribute millions of pounds of food throughout the five boroughs. In turn, our team thanked the Board for their unwavering commitment to Food Bank’s mission. This event exemplified our shared dedication to combating hunger and food insecurity. Thanks to all who joined us at our Pack for Good event and for being part of the Food Bank family.
